The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in small groups or individually throughout the day, ensuring their learning and well-being needs are met.
  • Work closely with class teachers and HLTA to deliver a personalized and differentiated curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of therapeutic and person-centred learning strategies.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of daily learning programs.
  • Promote and support the school's vision of celebrating individual strengths and encouraging personal growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum level 3 qualification
  • Demonstrable and relevant experience working with students with SEMH or ASD
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students who require additional support
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Passion for supporting student learning and development

Preferred

  • Experience with person-centred learning and therapeutic approaches
  • Experience with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Experience in outdoor learning environments
  • Experience with Skills Builder Frameworks
  • Experience in oracy development and communication strategies
