Key Responsibilities:
- Support students’ learning and personal development in the classroom.
- Assist in managing classroom activities and behaviour in a positive and constructive manner.
- Provide individualised support to students with additional needs.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a consistent approach to student support.
- Use initiative to respond to the needs of students and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a teaching or support role within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to supporting student learning and development.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of students and the school environment.
Preferred
- Experience working with children with additional needs.
- Familiarity with teaching and learning strategies.
- Previous experience in a primary school setting.
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience with classroom management techniques.
