Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students’ learning and personal development in the classroom.
  • Assist in managing classroom activities and behaviour in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Provide individualised support to students with additional needs.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a consistent approach to student support.
  • Use initiative to respond to the needs of students and contribute to a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a teaching or support role within an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to supporting student learning and development.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of students and the school environment.

Preferred

  • Experience working with children with additional needs.
  • Familiarity with teaching and learning strategies.
  • Previous experience in a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience with classroom management techniques.
