Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils’ learning and development both within and outside the classroom.
- Implement agreed learning programmes for individuals and groups, including those requiring specialist support.
- Assist teachers with planning, resource preparation, and management.
- Contribute to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Supervise whole classes on occasion during teacher absences, ensuring good order and focus.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Promote the welfare and safeguarding of children at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- NVQ 3 or equivalent in teaching assistance or equivalent experience.
- Passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching or supporting pupils in a school environment.
- Initiative and adaptability in a dynamic setting.
- Experience with curriculum planning and resource development.
