As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students in a nurturing and inclusive environment, helping to enhance their learning experience and personal development. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and committed to making a positive impact on young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students through one-to-one or small group sessions to enhance their learning and engagement.
  • Prepare and organise educational materials and resources to aid classroom instruction.
  • Encourage active participation and involvement in class activities.
  • Implement strategies that promote learning and enjoyment of the subject matter.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support the academic and personal development of students.
  • Provide pastoral support where appropriate to ensure student wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with teaching staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant (essential)
  • GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • A positive, patient, and encouraging approach
  • Commitment to inclusion and pupil wellbeing

Preferred

  • Further qualifications relating to SEN and/or child protection
  • Experience implementing strategies to support learning and enjoyment
  • Ability to inspire confidence and act as a positive role model for younger pupils
