Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils, helping them engage fully with learning
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering activities that spark curiosity and progress
  • Lead small group sessions and support one-to-one interventions
  • Offer emotional, social, and practical support to pupils as they navigate school life
  • Contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and positive learning environment
  • Support outdoor learning, enrichment activities, and personal development initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to meet individual student needs
  • Foster independence, confidence, and a positive attitude to learning in students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children, especially those with complex needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different learning environments
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Willingness to participate in training and professional development

Preferred

  • Experience in a therapeutic or trauma-informed setting
  • Knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices
  • Experience with outdoor learning or enrichment activities
  • Background in education or a related field
