As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students to become independent and successful learners. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and facilitate the learning and independence of students.
  • Contribute to the planning, preparation, and evaluation of education programmes.
  • Assist in assessing, recording, and reporting on students’ progress.
  • Promote positive social behaviour and self-regulation skills.
  • Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide 1:1 support or small group assistance as required.
  • Flexibly adapt to a range of duties and support needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
  • Minimum age of 21 to work on site.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Competent ICT skills.
  • Ability to build professional and trusted relationships with students.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or working with young people.
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
