As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students to become independent and successful learners. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and facilitate the learning and independence of students.
- Contribute to the planning, preparation, and evaluation of education programmes.
- Assist in assessing, recording, and reporting on students’ progress.
- Promote positive social behaviour and self-regulation skills.
- Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Provide 1:1 support or small group assistance as required.
- Flexibly adapt to a range of duties and support needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
- Minimum age of 21 to work on site.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Competent ICT skills.
- Ability to build professional and trusted relationships with students.
Preferred
- Experience in education or working with young people.
- Experience with behaviour management strategies.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
