Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering learning activities and managing student behavior.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual learning plans and support strategies.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional needs.
  • Monitor and record student progress and communicate regularly with teachers and parents.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
  • Support the organization and management of classroom resources and materials.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching and support practices.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • NVQ Level 3 in Teaching Assistance or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with students in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering targeted support to students with additional needs.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Familiarity with behaviour management techniques.
