The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students across all key stages in a dynamic and impactful role. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with autism and SEMH conditions, working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students’ safety, welfare, and emotional regulation.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning experiences.
Work closely with the education and wellbeing teams to support student engagement and progress.
Develop and implement activities that promote emotional regulation and holistic development.
Maintain positive, supportive relationships with students and act as a role model.
Adapt support strategies to meet individual student needs.
Collaborate with staff to ensure consistency in student support and behaviour management.
Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Experience working with children and young people with social/emotional difficulties and/or challenging behaviour.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including basic ICT proficiency.
Demonstrated emotional availability and resilience.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

Preferred

Previous experience supporting students in a classroom setting.
Experience with autism or SEMH conditions.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
