Key Responsibilities:
- Support students’ safety, welfare, and emotional regulation.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Work closely with the education and wellbeing teams to support student engagement and progress.
- Develop and implement activities that promote emotional regulation and holistic development.
- Maintain positive, supportive relationships with students and act as a role model.
- Adapt support strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure consistency in student support and behaviour management.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children and young people with social/emotional difficulties and/or challenging behaviour.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including basic ICT proficiency.
- Demonstrated emotional availability and resilience.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
Preferred
- Previous experience supporting students in a classroom setting.
- Experience with autism or SEMH conditions.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
