The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning and wellbeing. Working closely with class teachers, you will help deliver engaging learning activities and provide tailored support to help pupils achieve their potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities
  • Lead small group interventions to support student progress
  • Provide tailored support to pupils to help them achieve their potential
  • Work under the direction of the class teacher and other appropriate staff
  • Assist with the evaluation of the learning process and student outcomes
  • Supervise groups and/or individual pupils in classes and other appropriate locations
  • Contribute to inclusive practice and safeguarding of students
  • Promote positive behaviour and support students' social, emotional and academic development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Good understanding of child development and inclusive practice
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting children's social, emotional and academic progress
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or learning support roles
  • Experience with continuous professional development
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Experience with small group interventions or pastoral support
