The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will play a key role in supporting students with targeted learning needs, helping them catch up and access the full curriculum. You will work closely with the Curriculum Leader and SENCO to deliver effective interventions that drive student progress and improve learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual and small groups of students with targeted learning needs.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of intervention programmes to accelerate student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the Curriculum Leader and SENCO to ensure effective support strategies.
  • Promote positive attitudes to learning and help students develop confidence and independence.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff.
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive learning environments that support all students.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching or learning support role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Experience in supporting students with learning difficulties or special educational needs.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting, particularly within a Multi-Academy Trust.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and SEN support frameworks.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Familiarity with educational software and digital tools.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary within Grade D (Points 7-10) with a range of £20,502 to £21,504 per annum.
