Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their learning and development, particularly those with special needs.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during lessons and activities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to deliver high-quality educational support.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and engagement.
  • Provide regular feedback to teachers on student progress and behavior.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Support the school’s ethos and values by modeling positive behavior and encouraging student collaboration.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching or support role, ideally within a school environment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to support a range of student needs.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Previous experience in a school setting, particularly in a primary school.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
