The Opportunity:

Join a dedicated team of educators working with students aged 11-16 who have social, emotional, and behavioral needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning and development within a structured, therapeutic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs in a therapeutic environment
  • Assist in delivering lessons and promoting student engagement and progress
  • Collaborate with teachers to create and implement individualized learning plans
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and confidence
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff
  • Contribute to the development of a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Support students in developing independent learning skills and self-esteem

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE Level 4 or equivalent in English and Maths (desirable)
  • Experience working with students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, and resilience in a dynamic environment
  • Commitment to personal and professional development

Preferred

  • Experience supporting students with autism or complex needs
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
  • Experience with behavior management strategies
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
