The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs and ensure they are fully engaged in learning.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support during whole-class, one-to-one, and small group activities.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver the curriculum effectively and consistently.
  • Provide practical and emotional support to students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Monitor and report on student progress to class teachers.
  • Participate in planning and preparing resources for lessons.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support the school’s mission of putting students first through consistent and dedicated assistance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students, particularly those with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and support teaching staff.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic achievement.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work term-time and across different settings.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational setting, ideally as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies.
