As a Teaching Assistant with Intimate Care Responsibilities, you will provide essential support to pupils, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This is a fixed-term role with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in their learning and development, including assisting with personal care needs.
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support and interventions.
- Assist in the planning, monitoring, and review of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain positive and respectful relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Contribute to the delivery of a leadership-focused curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment that promotes the well-being of all pupils.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission and values.
- Provide consistent and compassionate care in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with children in a school setting.
- Experience contributing to the development, monitoring, and review of IEPs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and adults.
Preferred
- Experience in providing support for students with special educational needs.
- Experience with intimate care support in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of leadership and character development programmes.
- Experience working in a faith-based educational environment.
