The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant with Intimate Care Responsibilities, you will provide essential support to pupils, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This is a fixed-term role with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in their learning and development, including assisting with personal care needs.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support and interventions.
  • Assist in the planning, monitoring, and review of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain positive and respectful relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a leadership-focused curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment that promotes the well-being of all pupils.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission and values.
  • Provide consistent and compassionate care in line with the school’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting.
  • Experience contributing to the development, monitoring, and review of IEPs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and adults.

Preferred

  • Experience in providing support for students with special educational needs.
  • Experience with intimate care support in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of leadership and character development programmes.
  • Experience working in a faith-based educational environment.
