The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Teaching Assistant with NVQ Level 3 Early Years Qualification to join our friendly and supportive team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young children’s development within a dynamic early childhood education setting. The position is initially a fixed-term maternity cover, with potential for long-term employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teaching and learning of young children in a Kindergarten setting, with potential to work with older children in the future.
  • Assist in planning and delivering activities that promote the holistic development of children.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to ensure a consistent and nurturing approach to education.
  • Provide individualized support to children, including those with Special Educational Needs.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Keep accurate records of children’s progress and communicate regularly with parents.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with the school’s policies and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • NVQ Level 3 Early Years Qualification.
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.

Preferred

  • Experience with Special Educational Needs.
  • Previous experience in a school or early years setting.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and curriculum planning.
  • Flexibility to work with a range of age groups and adapt to changing demands.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Term-Time Only salary ranging from £22,110 to £23,590 (Full-Time Equivalent: £28,822-£30,750).
