The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support the Wrap-Around Care program in the Infant & Junior Division. This role involves working five days a week during term-time with the potential for additional hours during school holidays. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to young children in a dynamic and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of wrap-around care services for infants and junior students.
  • Assist in the supervision and engagement of children during care hours.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a consistent and positive learning experience.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Promote the school’s values and ethos through daily interactions.
  • Support the development of children’s social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of structured activities and play-based learning.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the care program during term and holiday periods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young children in an educational or care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to child safety and welfare.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
  • Flexibility to work five days a week during term-time with potential for additional hours.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or early years setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and early years education.
  • Experience with wrap-around care or after-school programs.
  • First aid or childcare qualifications.
