The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant YR-Y6 Part-Time to join our Junior School team. This role offers a unique opportunity to support young learners in a stimulating and caring environment, while contributing to a school that values creativity, care, and enthusiasm in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils’ learning in class by assisting teachers and providing individualised help
- Supervise playtimes and lunchtimes to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment
- Assist with school events, displays, and educational visits
- Help with after-school care and provide first aid (training provided)
- Contribute to the organisation and delivery of school activities and displays
- Maintain a positive and engaging atmosphere in the classroom and across the school
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support the academic and social development of students
- Ensure the smooth running of daily school operations in the Junior School
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Flexibility and a proactive approach
- Previous experience in a school setting
Preferred
- Experience with supporting pupils in a classroom environment
- Ability to drive the school minibus
- First aid training or willingness to gain it
