The Opportunity:
As a Technology Coach, you will inspire and guide students across a wide age range, helping them develop essential technical and innovative skills. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education, technology, and engineering, with a focus on hands-on learning and competition-based projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate technology-related lessons and projects for students aged 8 to 18.
- Guide students in prestigious international competitions such as iGEM and the Shell Eco Marathon.
- Provide office hours for student and teacher support, including lab management and equipment organization.
- Develop and coordinate cross-curricular technology projects that integrate design thinking and innovation.
- Promote a culture of Technovation among staff and students.
- Collaborate with industry and academic professionals to enhance the school’s technology education network.
- Manage complex, multidisciplinary projects from concept to execution.
- Support staff in the effective use of technology resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of 3 years of STEM teaching or coaching experience.
- Experience leading advanced STEM competitions or projects.
- Proficiency with a wide range of technology equipment including 3D printers, laser-cutters, and robotics.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and the O365 suite.
- Ability to design age-appropriate tasks that challenge and engage students.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Deep knowledge of Design Thinking.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
- Teaching qualification with a degree in Design & Technology.
- Engineering background.
- Experience in a boarding school environment.
- Working knowledge of French.
