The Opportunity:

As a Technology Coach, you will inspire and guide students across a wide age range, helping them develop essential technical and innovative skills. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education, technology, and engineering, with a focus on hands-on learning and competition-based projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate technology-related lessons and projects for students aged 8 to 18.
  • Guide students in prestigious international competitions such as iGEM and the Shell Eco Marathon.
  • Provide office hours for student and teacher support, including lab management and equipment organization.
  • Develop and coordinate cross-curricular technology projects that integrate design thinking and innovation.
  • Promote a culture of Technovation among staff and students.
  • Collaborate with industry and academic professionals to enhance the school’s technology education network.
  • Manage complex, multidisciplinary projects from concept to execution.
  • Support staff in the effective use of technology resources.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of STEM teaching or coaching experience.
  • Experience leading advanced STEM competitions or projects.
  • Proficiency with a wide range of technology equipment including 3D printers, laser-cutters, and robotics.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and the O365 suite.
  • Ability to design age-appropriate tasks that challenge and engage students.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Deep knowledge of Design Thinking.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Teaching qualification with a degree in Design & Technology.
  • Engineering background.
  • Experience in a boarding school environment.
  • Working knowledge of French.
