The Opportunity:
A Temporary Junior Teacher is needed to join the school in April 2026 to cover a maternity leave period for approximately three terms. This role is expected to be in Upper Key Stage 2 and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners within a supportive and dynamic school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences in Upper Key Stage 2.
- Plan and prepare engaging and challenging lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and values.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure individual needs are met.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other school staff to support student development.
- Participate in school events, professional development, and pastoral care activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and behavior.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in primary education.
- Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2.
- Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development or innovative teaching methods.
- Experience working in a co-educational setting.
- Familiarity with modern teaching technologies.
