The Opportunity:

A Temporary Junior Teacher is needed to join the school in April 2026 to cover a maternity leave period for approximately three terms. This role is expected to be in Upper Key Stage 2 and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners within a supportive and dynamic school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences in Upper Key Stage 2.
  • Plan and prepare engaging and challenging lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and values.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure individual needs are met.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other school staff to support student development.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and pastoral care activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and behavior.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in primary education.
  • Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development or innovative teaching methods.
  • Experience working in a co-educational setting.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching technologies.
