The Opportunity:

As a Test Administrator Wales, you will play a vital role in administering international assessments such as PIRLS and TIMSS in schools across Wales. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to global educational research while ensuring assessments are delivered with precision, integrity, and in accordance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with school coordinators to arrange test day logistics, including room setups and IT access.
  • Ensure all pupils have access to the required online assessment devices and complete their assigned assessments.
  • Administer assessments and questionnaires in accordance with international standards, maintaining security and accuracy at all times.
  • Monitor and record session timings, ensuring compliance with strict procedural guidelines.
  • Complete and submit all required administrative paperwork to Pearson following each test session.
  • Assist schools in completing teacher and parent/carer questionnaires by the required deadlines.
  • Set up and administer Pearson-supplied devices, following provided guidance and instructions.
  • Deliver assessments in the language selected by the school, ensuring proficiency in Welsh or English as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working in a school classroom or teaching environment.
  • Confidence in using IT applications, particularly for online assessments.
  • Experience in invigilating tests or examinations.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain high standards of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driving license and access to a car for travel to schools.
  • Current Enhanced DBS certificate (covering work with children).

Preferred

  • Bilingual proficiency in Welsh and English.
  • Willingness to stay overnight at schools when required, with expenses covered.
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, with availability for either or both studies.
