The Opportunity:
As a Trainee, you will support teachers in a bilingual setting, assist with classroom activities, and contribute to a vibrant and nurturing school community. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic educational environment that values growth, learning, and cultural diversity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering bilingual instruction in both German and English.
- Support students individually or in small groups with language development and learning activities.
- Help prepare and organize learning materials and classroom resources.
- Participate in school events, supervising students during breaks and lunchtimes.
- Contribute to the planning and organization of extracurricular and classroom activities.
- Assist with administrative tasks and ensure compliance with school policies and safeguarding guidelines.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with staff and students in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Native or near-native German language skills.
- Basic knowledge of English.
- Completed secondary school qualification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with children.
- Reliability, organization, and a willingness to learn in a team environment.
Preferred
- Previous experience in education or childcare.
- Experience with bilingual teaching environments.
- Knowledge of Swiss educational standards or international best practices in education.
