Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Maths lessons using a well-resourced and structured curriculum.
  • Collaborate with experienced mentors and subject specialists to improve teaching practice and student outcomes.
  • Participate in weekly departmental CPD and research-based training to enhance pedagogical knowledge.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Engage in school-wide initiatives and cross-academy collaboration to share best practices and resources.
  • Attend training sessions with United Teaching, including protected time for professional development.
  • Undertake regular learning walks and receive incremental feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the behaviour and inclusion teams to ensure a positive and focused learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Eligibility for the teacher training bursary.
  • Commitment to developing as an effective classroom practitioner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for teaching Maths and a desire to support student achievement.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in education or related fields.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Familiarity with curriculum design and resource development.
  • Experience with online and blended learning approaches.
