The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Unqualified PE Teacher with Cover Duties to support students and colleagues across a range of responsibilities. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student learning and school life while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and high-achieving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with learning when teaching staff are absent, delivering planned lessons and assisting with student work.
- Maintain good order and discipline in line with the school’s behaviour management framework.
- Assist with break and lunchtime supervision as required.
- Lead form activities and worship in the absence of a Form Tutor, with support from the Chaplain or Head of Year.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to build strong professional relationships.
- Demonstrate resilience and model positive personal qualities to inspire students.
- Work flexibly to meet the demands of the role and support the school’s mission.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Previous experience working with children aged 11-16 in an education setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to student welfare and behaviour management.
- Willingness to take on a range of responsibilities and work flexibly.
Preferred
- Experience in physical education or related fields.
- Knowledge of curriculum planning and delivery.
- Experience with pastoral care or form tutor responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Church of England values and ethos.
