The Opportunity:
As an Upper Elementary Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and personal development of students in grades 3-5. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach core subjects to students in grades 3-5 using the Common Core curriculum.
- Create and implement lesson plans that promote critical thinking and student engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to support student progress.
- Incorporate technology into instruction to enhance learning outcomes.
- Assess student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a classroom culture that encourages respect, responsibility, and teamwork.
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an elementary school teacher.
- Strong knowledge of the Common Core curriculum.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents/guardians.
- Proficient in using technology for instruction.
Preferred
- Experience teaching in an international or multicultural setting.
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction techniques.
- Experience with classroom management strategies.
- Background in student-centered teaching methodologies.
