The Opportunity:
We are seeking an Upper School Chemistry Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and engage students in a stimulating learning environment, preparing them for success in IGCSE and A Level qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and deliver the Upper School Chemistry curriculum to students in Years 7-11.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative lesson plans that promote student achievement and interest in the subject.
- Use ICT effectively to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student progress and development.
- Provide clear goals and objectives for students, leading to improved academic performance.
- Support the school’s mission of educational excellence and leadership development.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and events that promote a well-rounded education.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment that encourages respect and responsibility.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of 2 years recent successful teaching experience.
- Graduate qualified teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area.
- Qualified Teacher Status with evidence of appropriate in-service training.
- Experience working with students in the relevant age group.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students in a stimulating learning environment.
- Experience using ICT to promote learning.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience teaching EAL students.
- Experience delivering IGCSE and A Level courses.
- Previous experience in an international school and familiarity with the British education system.
- Evidence of establishing clear goals and objectives that led to significant improvements in student achievement.
- Knowledge of positive disciplinary methods and child development.
