The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Upper School Chemistry Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and engage students in a stimulating learning environment, preparing them for success in IGCSE and A Level qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and deliver the Upper School Chemistry curriculum to students in Years 7-11.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative lesson plans that promote student achievement and interest in the subject.
  • Use ICT effectively to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student progress and development.
  • Provide clear goals and objectives for students, leading to improved academic performance.
  • Support the school’s mission of educational excellence and leadership development.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and events that promote a well-rounded education.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment that encourages respect and responsibility.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of 2 years recent successful teaching experience.
  • Graduate qualified teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area.
  • Qualified Teacher Status with evidence of appropriate in-service training.
  • Experience working with students in the relevant age group.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students in a stimulating learning environment.
  • Experience using ICT to promote learning.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience teaching EAL students.
  • Experience delivering IGCSE and A Level courses.
  • Previous experience in an international school and familiarity with the British education system.
  • Evidence of establishing clear goals and objectives that led to significant improvements in student achievement.
  • Knowledge of positive disciplinary methods and child development.
