The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Upper School Maths Teacher to join our dedicated team. The role involves teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5 and preparing students for IGCSE and A-Level exams. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is committed to academic excellence and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and rigorous Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3–5.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for IGCSE and A-Level Maths examinations with a focus on theoretical understanding and application-based learning.
  • Support interdisciplinary initiatives and promote a culture of mathematical enquiry throughout the school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop STEAM projects and academic enrichment programs.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management, academic challenge, and student wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum, schemes of work, and assessment strategies within the Maths Faculty.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Participate in professional development and support the continuous improvement of teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree in Maths.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Experience teaching Maths to IGCSE and A-Level (or equivalent international curricula).

Preferred

  • Experience teaching IGCSE and International A Level Further Maths (or national equivalent).
  • Experience of ICT GCSE.
  • Strong pedagogical knowledge and a passion for subject-based enrichment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students of all abilities.
  • Experience in international or bilingual settings.
