The Opportunity:
As a Vice Principal, you will play a pivotal role in driving academic excellence and fostering a positive learning culture. You will work closely with the Principal to enhance teaching and learning across the school, ensuring all students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve teaching and learning across the school.
- Lead initiatives to enhance quality first teaching, curriculum design, and assessment practices.
- Support and mentor staff to build a high-performing, collaborative teaching team.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement to ensure consistent improvement.
- Foster a positive school culture that promotes emotional wellbeing and student engagement.
- Collaborate with the Principal to lead whole-school improvement and change initiatives.
- Deliver high-quality teaching in a 2-day-per-week commitment.
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and governors to maintain strong relationships and support shared goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a classroom teacher with a strong track record of delivering high-quality lessons.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a primary school setting, including curriculum development and staff mentoring.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve high standards in teaching and learning.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in senior leadership roles, such as Vice Principal or Assistant Headteacher.
- Experience with school improvement and whole-school change initiatives.
- Familiarity with assessment and curriculum development across the primary phase.
- Experience with teaching English as a second language or working in diverse educational settings.
