The Opportunity:

A Vice Principal is sought to lead and support the school’s mission of “Success for Every Child.” This role is pivotal in shaping the learning experience, promoting inclusion, and ensuring high standards of teaching and student wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the teaching, learning, and wellbeing of students and staff within designated year groups.
  • Champion the school’s mission and vision while fostering positive relationships across the community.
  • Provide strategic leadership in curriculum development and pedagogical practice.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme with a focus on inclusion and pastoral care.
  • Model exemplary professional practice and lead by example.
  • Contribute to the development of a learning community that encourages inquiry, reflection, and professional growth.
  • Ensure high standards of performance across all areas of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in educational leadership within an IB Primary Years Programme context.
  • Strong curriculum development and pedagogical expertise.
  • Demonstrated leadership in fostering inclusion and pastoral support.
  • Commitment to the school’s vision of “Success for Every Child.”
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in managing teams and supporting staff development.

Preferred

  • Experience in international education and cross-cultural environments.
  • Background in leading whole-school initiatives or strategic projects.
  • Knowledge of ESF’s Vision 2030 and its core pillars: Belonging, Personalisation, and Engagement.
  • Familiarity with best practices in student wellbeing and support systems.
