The Opportunity:

As Vice Principal (Student Support), you will be a key leader in a Catholic institution, responsible for shaping and delivering student care, wellbeing, and inclusion. This is a pivotal role that supports the College’s mission and ensures every student is known, valued, and empowered to flourish academically, spiritually, and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team to deliver the College’s vision, values, and strategic priorities through high-quality student support.
  • Provide strategic oversight of pastoral care, ensuring an inclusive and compassionate student welfare system.
  • Champion equity and access in Additional Learning Support, offering personalised support for all learners.
  • Oversee staff welfare and wellbeing, fostering a culture of care, trust, and professional respect.
  • Ensure high-quality Religious Education that aligns with the College’s Catholic mission and identity.
  • Contribute to whole-college strategy, improvement, and operational effectiveness as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Support the development of people policies, staff development processes, and professional standards.
  • Promote the College’s Catholic ethos through visible leadership and active engagement with students and staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in senior leadership within a school or college setting.
  • Strong understanding of Catholic education and values.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage student support services.
  • Experience in pastoral care, student welfare, and inclusion.
  • Commitment to the Catholic faith, with the ability to contribute to the spiritual and moral development of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in human resources or staff development.
  • Background in Religious Education or curriculum leadership.
  • Experience in strategic planning and whole-college improvement.
  • Leadership in a high-achieving educational institution.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary scale of £85,000 to £95,000.
