The Opportunity:

The Video Editor and Studio Technician will be responsible for producing high-quality video and livestreamed content, supporting live events, and managing the creative studio. This role is ideal for someone passionate about digital media and eager to contribute to a forward-thinking educational institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and prepare video content for marketing, promotional, and live-streaming purposes.
  • Assist in setting up and running live events, webinars, and recordings using ATEM, VMIX, and Zoom.
  • Manage and maintain studio equipment, ensuring it remains functional and updated.
  • Create digital graphics, title cards, and motion graphics for video content.
  • Record and edit audio content, including podcasts, using Logic Pro X or equivalent software.
  • Provide training and support to students and staff in the use of studio equipment and content creation.
  • Ensure all video content complies with copyright, licensing, and intellectual property laws.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to deliver content across internal and external channels.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Demonstrable experience in video editing across a range of formats and channels.
  • Proficiency with post-production software, such as Davinci Resolve.
  • Experience with live streaming platforms and multi-camera setups.
  • In-depth knowledge of Sony and Blackmagic cameras, sound, and lighting.
  • Familiarity with podcasting software and studio environments.
  • Strong technical and engineering skills for setting up and troubleshooting multi-camera rigs.
  • Understanding of cloud-based workflows and media management systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality projects to briefs.
  • Knowledge of copyright, licensing, and appropriate media use.

Preferred

  • Experience with Blackmagic ATEM systems and SDI/HDMI-based setups.
  • Familiarity with social media trends and digital content best practices.
  • Ability to lift and carry production equipment across a large campus.
  • A portfolio or showreel showcasing relevant video editing and production work.
