The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Visiting Judo Coach to lead our well-established and popular extra-curricular judo club for students across both the Junior and Senior Schools. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young athletes and contribute to a school that values physical education and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality judo coaching sessions to students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement a structured judo program that aligns with the school’s values and objectives.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Promote the benefits of judo and encourage student engagement and enthusiasm.
  • Collaborate with school staff to support student development and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Prepare and organize equipment and facilities before and after each session.
  • Encourage a culture of respect, discipline, and teamwork among students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in judo coaching, preferably with children.
  • Relevant qualifications in judo or sports coaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of students.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an educational or school setting.
  • Familiarity with the GDST ethos and values.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience with extra-curricular programs and student engagement.
