The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Wrap Around Care Assistant to join our team and provide essential support to students after school hours. This role plays a key part in ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children aged 3 to 13. The successful candidate will contribute to the school’s mission of fostering confidence, respect, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervise students during after-school hours from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
  • Assist with organizing and leading structured activities that promote learning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students to maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in the care area.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a consistent approach to student care and support.
  • Attend mandatory INSET days and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and safety for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a care or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and responsible attitude with a commitment to child safety and welfare.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work term-time only with mandatory INSET days.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or childcare environment.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Experience with delivering structured activities and programs for children.
  • First aid or emergency care training.
