The Opportunity:
As a Wrap-Around Care Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering a safe, caring, and stimulating after-school programme for children in EYFS and KS1. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment where children feel happy, secure, and inspired to learn through play.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a nurturing and engaging environment for children.
- Supervise play, activities, and mealtimes to promote positive behaviour and social interaction.
- Prepare and serve light meals and snacks, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Support children’s wellbeing, comfort, and personal needs.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding, health, and safety standards.
- Build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Ensure the environment is inclusive and supports the diverse needs of all children.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support the holistic development of children.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 2 Childcare qualification (or working towards completion).
- Experience of working or volunteering with young children.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, inclusion, and child wellbeing.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of child development and play-based learning.
- Experience with meal preparation and dietary requirements.
