The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Year 1 Class Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis, starting in February 2025. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher who is creative, forward-thinking, and eager to contribute to a supportive school community. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that inspires young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality, creative curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Manage and lead a Year 1 class with a focus on fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Plan and implement engaging lessons that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Monitor and assess student progress through ongoing, formative assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development.
- Lead and contribute to the teaching of geography and history as part of the school's curriculum.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure effective learning outcomes for all students.
- Promote a school ethos that values creativity, innovation, and global citizenship.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in primary education.
- Proven ability to deliver an engaging and creative curriculum.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
- Experience in leading geography and history lessons.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Familiarity with outdoor learning and Forest School environments.
- Experience with peer coaching or mentoring other staff members.
- Knowledge of innovative teaching and learning approaches.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £41,935 - £50,474 per annum (dependent upon experience).
