The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring Art Teacher to join our Arts Department and teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students for 2 days per week. This role offers the chance to shape young minds and nurture creativity in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging Art lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils
  • Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum and schemes of work
  • Foster a positive and creative learning environment
  • Support the academic and personal development of all pupils
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning
  • Deliver lessons that encourage critical thinking and artistic expression
  • Stay up to date with current Art practices and educational trends
  • Participate in departmental meetings and staff training sessions

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A degree in Art or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Art to secondary school students
  • Commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of all pupils

Preferred

  • Experience with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 curriculum delivery
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices
