The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ learning and development. You will work closely with teachers to provide individual and group support, helping students achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the classroom and during examinations, following guidance on EHCPs, IEPs and Access Arrangements.
  • Provide learning and pastoral support to students on an individual or small group basis, under the direction of the SENDCO or classroom teacher.
  • Liaise with classroom teachers to share insights on student progress and inform future planning and support.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning through creativity and initiative.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the school by supporting the development of students’ experiences and outcomes.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and achievement.
  • Participate in school initiatives and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and support the school’s mission.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students, or a motivated individual new to the profession who is committed to making a difference.
  • Ability to engage students in their learning and promote positive behaviour.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to supporting students’ academic and personal development.
  • Willingness to work 37 hours per week, term time only.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or related fields.
  • Familiarity with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) support.
  • Experience with teaching or supporting students with learning difficulties.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
