We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Art Teacher to join our department on a maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ creative development and contribute to a supportive and collaborative teaching team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Art to students across the full age and ability range up to GCSE.
- Support students in developing their artistic skills and creativity.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that align with the school’s educational goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance student learning.
- Contribute to the development of departmental resources and teaching strategies.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their growth and progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-expression.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant teaching qualification or the ability to complete a teaching qualification.
- A good knowledge of Art and the ability to teach Art to GCSE level.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for encouraging student creativity and self-expression.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Art at A Level.
- Experience working in a school setting.
- Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technologies.
- A passion for art and a commitment to continuous professional development.
