The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Data Manager IT Engineer to support the IT department and assist in the maintenance of our MIS system. This role will involve managing server technologies and providing general IT support, ensuring the smooth operation of our digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the school’s MIS system, including timetabling, rollovers, and general maintenance.
  • Support the IT Manager with day-to-day IT operations and troubleshooting.
  • Administer and monitor server technologies such as Windows Server, SQL 2022, Exchange Server, and Office 365.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students across the school.
  • Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of IT systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to implement and improve IT solutions.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in IT management.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of digital infrastructure across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in managing MIS systems and related technologies.
  • Strong technical background in server administration, including Windows Server and SQL.
  • Experience with Exchange Server and Office 365.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality IT support in an educational setting.

Preferred

  • Experience in creating and managing school timetables.
  • Familiarity with educational software and systems.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices.
  • Experience in a school or educational environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary of £33,000 – £39,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
