The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Art Technician to join our dynamic Art Department. This role will support students and staff in creating an inspiring and creative learning environment. The successful candidate will contribute to a department known for its high standards and innovative approach to art education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of art lessons and practical sessions across all key stages.
- Maintain and manage art equipment, materials, and facilities to ensure they are always in good working order.
- Assist in the setup and organization of art exhibitions, displays, and events.
- Collaborate with art staff to develop and implement creative learning experiences for students.
- Provide guidance and support to students in developing their artistic skills and techniques.
- Ensure the safe and responsible use of all art materials and equipment.
- Assist in the maintenance of art studios, printmaking workshop, and other specialist facilities.
- Contribute to the overall vision and mission of the Art Department.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of art materials, techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently within a team environment.
- Commitment to supporting student learning and development.
Preferred
- Experience working within a Catholic or values-based educational institution.
- Knowledge of digital art tools and software.
- Experience in managing art exhibitions or events.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
