Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and management to support the school’s mission and vision.
  • Lead effective systems for student data tracking, target setting, and progress monitoring.
  • Identify underperformance using assessment information and coordinate timely, high-impact support and intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with pastoral leads to implement mentoring approaches that help students meet or exceed academic targets.
  • Analyse student performance data to inform strategic decisions and evaluate the impact of interventions.
  • Coach and support colleagues in using data effectively to improve student outcomes.
  • Build effective pastoral-academic links to ensure consistent, joined-up support for learners.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s curriculum and assessment framework.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status and a degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent understanding of the National Curriculum and Assessment Framework for KS3-5.
  • Proven experience in leading systems for student data tracking, target setting, and progress monitoring.
  • Strong ability to analyse student performance data and use it to inform strategic decisions.
  • Experience in supporting colleagues to use data effectively to improve student outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective pastoral-academic links and implement mentoring strategies.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading teams and managing school operations.
  • Experience with self-directed learning frameworks.
  • Experience with international education settings or global schools.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in professional development and teacher training.
