The Opportunity:

We are seeking two driven Assistant Headteachers to join our leadership team and shape the future of the school. This is an exciting time to contribute to a school with a clear vision for improvement and a strong focus on inclusion and teaching excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and strategically oversee the school’s inclusion provision and safeguarding practices
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and SENCO
  • Drive inclusive practice across the school and ensure high-quality outcomes for pupils with SEND and vulnerable groups
  • Support staff in delivering adaptive, inclusive teaching strategies
  • Lead and oversee a core subject area, driving high standards of teaching and curriculum development
  • Take on whole-school leadership responsibilities and support staff through coaching and professional development
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the school’s vision and values are embedded in all aspects of school life

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience within a school setting
  • Experience in leading inclusion strategies and safeguarding practices
  • Strong understanding of SEND provision and best practices in inclusive education
  • Commitment to high-quality teaching and learning
  • Ability to manage and develop staff effectively
  • Relevant qualifications in education leadership or equivalent experience

Preferred

  • Experience in a senior leadership role within a primary school
  • Experience in curriculum leadership and subject specialism
  • Knowledge of multi-academy trust structures and collaborative working
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
