The Opportunity:

As a Buildings Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of college facilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair buildings, equipment, and infrastructure across the college site.
  • Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Use a range of hand, power, and machine tools to complete repairs and installations.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet maintenance targets and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments to address maintenance needs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance work and report any issues promptly.
  • Support the Estates Department in delivering a high standard of service to the college community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in using hand, power, and machine tools for maintenance, repair, and installation work.
  • A specific trade or relevant experience in buildings maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
