The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Business Studies Teacher (part time) to join its academic team. This role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a dynamic learning environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality education and supporting student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Business Studies at A Level to students, following departmental planning and examination syllabi.
  • Promote and monitor student learning, ensuring progress and achievement in the subject.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the overall growth of the department.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging teaching materials tailored to students’ abilities and learning needs.
  • Set and mark homework, providing clear feedback to support student development.
  • Maintain discipline and uphold the school’s codes of conduct in the classroom.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding student progress and well-being.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent consultations, and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree level qualification and high academic achievement.
  • Experience in planning and teaching the secondary curriculum.
  • Experience of teaching to a high standard with a focus on student progress.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Strong ICT skills and the ability to use educational technology.
  • Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Business Studies at A Level.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
  • Experience in a school with a strong academic and vocational focus.
