The Opportunity:

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Caretaker to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and the wider community. This is a hands-on role with varied responsibilities and the opportunity to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain school buildings and grounds to a high standard
• Ensure site security, including opening and closing procedures and responding to call-outs
• Carry out repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep of the site
• Support health and safety compliance across the school
• Assist with lettings, events, and occasional minibus driving
• Operate on a shift basis, including early and late shifts, with some weekend working
• Participate in a call-out rota as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Practical maintenance or DIY skills
• A clean driving licence
• Strong awareness of health and safety
• Reliable, organised, and able to use own initiative
• Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the wider school

Preferred

• Experience in a similar role within an educational setting
• Experience with general maintenance or repairs
• Flexibility to work on a shift basis and weekends
