The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons across key stages, including GCSE and A Level qualifications.
- Manage and maintain a range of specialist facilities, including workshops, multimedia rooms, and 3D printing equipment.
- Encourage student creativity and innovation through the use of CAD software, CNC routers, and laser cutters.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic results and preparing for opportunities such as the Arkwright Scholarship.
- Contribute to the extra-curricular life of the department and school through enrichment activities and events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a stimulating and challenging curriculum.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design Technology.
- Experience teaching Design Technology GCSE, A Level Product Design, Fashion and Textiles, and Food Preparation and Nutrition.
- Strong knowledge of CAD software, CNC routers, laser cutters, and 3D printing.
- Commitment to student safety and well-being in a practical learning environment.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular activities.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
- Experience working in a high-performing school environment.
