The Opportunity:
As a Catering Manager, you will oversee the management and development of catering services, including the School Shop and Events, ensuring exceptional standards of service and organisation. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering outstanding food experiences in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all catering operations, including meal planning and service.
- Oversee the School Shop and Events services, ensuring they meet the needs of students and staff.
- Lead and develop a team of catering staff, providing training and support.
- Monitor and control budgets to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and food regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver a seamless experience for students and staff.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage procurement processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a catering management role.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Experience in an educational or hospitality setting.
- Ability to manage budgets and deliver cost-effective solutions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or boarding environment.
- Familiarity with catering software and inventory management systems.
- Experience with event planning and management.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
