The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Chaplaincy Pastoral Graduate to join our team and support the spiritual and pastoral development of students. This role is ideal for a practicing Catholic with a passion for working with young people and a commitment to fostering a strong Christian community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and develop the central chaplaincy provision for students across all year groups.
- Assist with pastoral care duties in the boarding houses and across the school.
- Deliver spiritual and religious education in line with Catholic teachings and Benedictine values.
- Participate in and support weekly Mass, prayer services, retreats, and other chaplaincy activities.
- Engage with students, staff, and families to promote a welcoming and inclusive Christian community.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Collaborate with other pastoral and academic staff to support student well-being and growth.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s spiritual and pastoral programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good degree from a recognised institution.
- A practicing Catholic with a strong faith commitment.
- Relevant experience working with young people and within the Church.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students of all ages and backgrounds.
- Commitment to Benedictine values and Catholic education principles.
Preferred
- Experience in a pastoral or chaplaincy role within a school or religious community.
- Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and traditions.
- Experience with youth ministry or youth work.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and take initiative.
