The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Chaplaincy Pastoral Graduate to join our team and support the spiritual and pastoral development of students. This role is ideal for a practicing Catholic with a passion for working with young people and a commitment to fostering a strong Christian community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and develop the central chaplaincy provision for students across all year groups.
  • Assist with pastoral care duties in the boarding houses and across the school.
  • Deliver spiritual and religious education in line with Catholic teachings and Benedictine values.
  • Participate in and support weekly Mass, prayer services, retreats, and other chaplaincy activities.
  • Engage with students, staff, and families to promote a welcoming and inclusive Christian community.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Collaborate with other pastoral and academic staff to support student well-being and growth.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s spiritual and pastoral programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good degree from a recognised institution.
  • A practicing Catholic with a strong faith commitment.
  • Relevant experience working with young people and within the Church.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Commitment to Benedictine values and Catholic education principles.

Preferred

  • Experience in a pastoral or chaplaincy role within a school or religious community.
  • Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and traditions.
  • Experience with youth ministry or youth work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and take initiative.
