Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons to students from Y7 to Y13, using innovative teaching methods.
- Prepare and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum of England.
- Support students in achieving academic excellence through personalized learning strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Science department’s curriculum and teaching practices.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
- Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- An internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Y7 to 13 Science Education with Chemistry specialism and QTS or equivalent.
- Or an internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject with a teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Secondary Science with QTS or equivalent.
- Or an internationally recognised teaching qualification in Secondary Science with QTS or equivalent and two years of experience teaching Secondary Chemistry.
- Strong commitment to student-centered learning and school improvement.
- Experience teaching A level Chemistry.
Preferred
- Experience with international curricula such as GCSE, iGCSE, and A Levels.
- Familiarity with assessment tools such as GL CAT4 and GL Progress tests.
- Experience in a multicultural, international school environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Arabic language or UAE Social Studies is a plus.
