The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Food Preparation & Nutrition Teacher to join our Design and Technology department. This role involves teaching Food Science/Technologies at the High/Secondary School level, following the UK-IGCSE curriculum. The successful candidate will inspire students and contribute to a supportive, innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Food Preparation & Nutrition to High/Secondary School students.
• Plan and prepare resources aligned with the UK-IGCSE curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Integrate practical cooking sessions with theoretical knowledge to enhance student understanding.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support student development and learning outcomes.
• Monitor and assess student progress using appropriate methods and tools.
• Promote healthy nutrition habits and a positive attitude towards food science among students.
• Participate in school events and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A relevant certificate qualification in Food Preparation, Nutrition, or a related field.
• At least one year of teaching experience in food science or nutrition subjects.
• Familiarity with the UK-IGCSE curriculum and assessment methods.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to engage secondary school students effectively.

Preferred

• Experience teaching in an international or multicultural school setting.
• Knowledge of Arabic language or UAE Social Studies.
