Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons to students across a range of levels, including GCSE and A Level.
- Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies that align with the school's academic standards.
- Contribute to the after-school programme and support the development of curriculum enrichment activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Support the school's commitment to bilingual education by teaching in both French and English.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A minimum of five years’ relevant teaching experience.
- Qualified teacher status and a good honours degree.
- Experience teaching Chemistry at GCSE/IGCSE and ideally A Level.
- Fluency in English and the ability to teach in French.
- A strong understanding of best practice in education and a passion for teaching.
Preferred
- Experience with the British curriculum and qualification system.
- Previous experience in a bilingual or international school setting.
- Knowledge of the Pearson Edexcel GCSE and International A Level curricula.
- Experience with curriculum development and enrichment activities.
