The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons to students across a range of levels, including GCSE and A Level.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies that align with the school's academic standards.
  • Contribute to the after-school programme and support the development of curriculum enrichment activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Support the school's commitment to bilingual education by teaching in both French and English.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A minimum of five years’ relevant teaching experience.
  • Qualified teacher status and a good honours degree.
  • Experience teaching Chemistry at GCSE/IGCSE and ideally A Level.
  • Fluency in English and the ability to teach in French.
  • A strong understanding of best practice in education and a passion for teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience with the British curriculum and qualification system.
  • Previous experience in a bilingual or international school setting.
  • Knowledge of the Pearson Edexcel GCSE and International A Level curricula.
  • Experience with curriculum development and enrichment activities.
